In September, celebration of the Feast of King Jaume I
From 5 to 8 September 2024, Salou celebrates the departure of King Jaume I from the Port of Salou to conquer Mallorca. During these days, various cultural, sporting and recreational activities will remember that historic moment with the Medieval Market, the historical recreation of the royal departure, conferences, workshops and a regatta, among other events.

Nits Daurades, the biggest festival of the capital of the Costa Dorada
From August 1 to 15, 2025, Salou will enjoy the Nits Daurades, which is the name by which its festival is known. In this edition, popular culture, live music and the municipality's maritime traditions will be prominent elements of the festive program. All events, schedules and venues are detailed below.
What to do today. Music, cinema and Calada de les Malles, until August 1st
To heat engines before the Nits Daurades, the Salou Festival, which will be from August 2 to 15, the City Council has prepared various cultural and recreational activities until August 1. Among the activities, the International Music Festival, the Calada de les Malles, which recreates the seafaring past of Salou, and the reopening of the remodeled Torre Vella stand out.
Next Generation to live well in Salou all year round and during the holidays
In Salou you live well but you will still live better because the City of Salou has received 11 million euros, from the Next Generation Funds, to make a more sustainable and resilient municipality from the environmental, economic and social point of view. The projects for 2021 are already executed in 90% and those for 2023, in 45%.
Free parking in Salou
If our goal is to park for free in Salou during tourist season, we must consider it is a hard task, though not entirely impossible, as long as we are willing to walk.
Park in the blue zone in summer
June 1st, the Salou City Council activates the blue zone of the different regulated parking areas of the municipality, which operate every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., except in the car parks of Llevant and Nord. In summer, there's a dog-friendly space on Salou's Ponent beach
Salou takes another step to improve services as a Pet-Friendly tourism destination and from 2024 onwards offers a beach for dogs and pets in the middle of the summer season. There will be 1,785.72 m2 on Ponent beach in the capital of the Costa Daurada for pets.

Until December 22, from 12 to 3 pm, you can taste the best vermouths in the joint initiative between the Associació d’Empresaris d’Hostaleria (AEH) of Salou and the City Council of the capital of the Costa Daurada. Up to 25 establishments are participating in the “Fem el vermut a Salou” action, which for 6 euros offers to enjoy vermouth accompanied by a gastronomic tasting.
The Squid Festival, a tradition that breaks records
One of the most genuine traditions of Salou, which connects the municipality with its seafaring past, is undoubtedly the Squid Festival, which has been organised every year, for 49 editions, by the Salou Yacht Club. In addition, the 2024 Squid Festival has broken all records with the capture of 731 squid and a total weight of 153,586 kg of cephalopods.
Salouween, or how to enjoy the best Halloween on the Costa Daurada
From October 25 to November 3, 2024, Salou is themed to offer the best Halloween celebration on the Costa Daurada: Salouween. Tourist train of Salou
One of the tourist attractions in Salou is the 'trenet' or tourist train, a train that transits through the main attractions of the capital of the Costa Dorada.
