The proclamation of the Nits Daurades Salou 2025 ended with a stool
Salou. Costa Dorada. 03 August 2025. "Salou has a model tourism, capable of adapting to new demands." With these words the preacher of the Nits Daurades de Salou 2025, the Minister of Business and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Miquel Sàmper, has highlighted the leadership of the municipality in the main economic sector of the country.
The Minister recalled that Catalonia is the first tourist destination in Spain, and highlighted the ability of Salou to diversify its tourist offer by promoting heritage or sports tourism, which he has put as examples of the successful model of Salou.
Samper thanked being the preacher of the festival although "maybe he should have said no", he confessed, since he had only arrived 8 hours ago from China, where he has been on an official visit with the president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa.
However, he said that "the most beautiful things about this work (politics) is to come to the territory, talk to people, know the demands."
In relation to the party itself, the Minister of Business and Labor referred to the Nits Daurades as a major party that makes everyone enjoy: tourists, families and all Salouenses. the quality of services and the commitment to inclusive and sustainable tourism has made Salou streng Salou, the most requested municipality
The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has opened the act of the proclamation remembering that "Salou is pure Mediterranean essence", and that it is "the most demanded municipality of the summer". He has argued that then its leadership.
Granados also recalled that tourism must make money to the tourist industries, but it must also contribute to "improving the quality of life and services of residents. And in this, Salou is also a pioneer."
For the mayor, the Nits Daurades are a party for everyone to enjoy the festive events and those that identify Salou, and has taken the opportunity to congratulate the children's pubilla, Sara Almengot, since just eight years ago the same day of the proclamation.
At the end of the act and as a souvenir, the mayor and the councilor of Fiestas, Xavier Montalà, have presented the preacher with a plaque, with the coat of arms of the municipality and with a reproduction of the seal of King Jaume I, who in 1229 departed from the port of Salou to conquer Mallorca.
The proclamation ended with a stool that announced the start of the party, while at 10 pm the sixth batrobada (scramble of batucades) started, led by the Atabaladors de Salou. The groups and their tabals have gone from the fountain of the Caragols, on the Jaume I promenade, to the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes, filling with rhythm and cheer the second night of the Fiesta Mayor de Salou.
