The tourist season 2014 has been closed in Salou with more than 7 million overnight stays, according to the statement presented by the Municipal Tourism of the capital of the Costa Dorada, an organization that has valued the positive figures since initially it was expected that the season could be looser.
The Spanish tourism (38%), followed by the UK (18%) and Russian (15%) are the most active markets in Salou, followed by France (15%) and the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and Germany.
Salou is the second tourist destination in Catalonia, only behind Barcelona and one of the largest in Spain.
