2011 Awards Ceremony of the journal "Food and Tourism" Tarragona. Costa Dorada. The magazine "Food and Tourism" turned its first 25 years of existence last year and for that reason, its directors, and Ramon Felix Llovell Segú, wanted to celebrate a birthday party of the "wedding of silver, together with the "Association of Tarragona Gourmets' awards instituted a prominent establishments in the catering and hospitality.   Last Thursday, 2 June, held the second annual awards "Food and Tourism" during the dinner Gourmet, the restaurant Villa Alexander, Salou, with the assistance of the Mayor, Pedro Granados, the Delegate of the Government, Quim Nin, and the Director of the Catalan Tourism, Xavier Sword, among others. The minutes began an extensive and delicious aperitif on the terrace of the restaurant, washed down with champagne Varias. Before the start of the wonderful dinner prepared by chef of Villa Alexander, coordinated by its director, Eduardo del Valle, took place on delivery of prizes, consisting of an ancient Roman tradition that reminds Anfora transport of oil and wine in ancient Tarraco. The awards were given by the Director of the magazine, officials attending the Presidio Gourmet Tarragona, Emilio Giorgio Serafini Matthew, awarded last year to: Best restaurant in Catalonia 2011: El Celler de Can Roca, Girona. Best restaurant revelation 2011: Villa Alexander, Salou. Best restaurant with Andorran tradition 2011: Don Denis, the Principality of Andorra. Best winery revelation 2011: Cava Varias, San Sadurní. Best wine revelation 2011: Odysseus (red label) 2006, from Cellar Puig Priorat. After the delivery, Joan Roca thanked on behalf of all the winners received the award and praised the work done for so many years by the journal Food and Tourism and its leaders. To refer to the menu served at the dinner, which began with a whole range of small sampling: "Rainbow" of foam and liquid roasted anchovies. Skewer chicken wasabi crunchy cocoa egg butter and almonds. Crispy prawns flavored with basil. Spice bread with spicy sausage and Mahon cheese. Teaspoons of Sirop cockles with mango. Bread, fruit and foie gras with reduced Pedro Ximenez. Parmantier potato with caviar and herring, onions and extra virgin olive oil. As a starter, fan shrimp red tomatoes on tarragona pickles, sprouts with vinegar and olive Forum chlorophyll. First: the pop coal carbasa compote and juice flavored whiskey. Second: Tournedo steak with wine sauce old, escalope of foie gras, caramelized pears and potato romero bully. And for dessert, peach iced, juice and endrin false cinnamon, all washed down with wine Odysseus.   The photo of family, of Chinchilla, picks the winners and the personalities that made the delivery of this Second Awards of "Food and Tourism" 2011.
