The beaches Llevant and Capellans of Salou validate their blue flags

Llevant beach and the Capellans beach of Salou have passed, once again, all the criteria that govern the quality of the beaches, ranking as two of the great beaches of the Costa Dorada. The Blue Flag is an international symbol that values ​​and rewards environmental management and safety, environmental education and information, services and facilities, while demand for beaches and water quality sand excellent.

The blue flags are pretty good quality and overall environmental health of the Catalan coast, and this year a total of 90 beaches have achieved this recognition, three beaches that year. With 38 blue flags, the beaches of the Costa Dorada beaches remain notably around the country. All beaches last year had flag, and have again achieved a novelty: Calafell beach. Indeed, the Port of Salou this summer has also obtained the Blue Flag distinction, a recognition that assesses facilities sustainable and environmentally friendly by the employees of these port facilities. The distinctive blue flags awarded by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (eco) of the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education), although it has had the collaboration of the Government of Transportation.

Catalonia, the head of the state with 24 ports winners

This year, the Catalan ports have achieved 24 Blue Flags, the same number as last year. This year there have been 24 nominations and have won 24 award for successful sailing facilities and Liberties. Statewide has been a total of 97 ports awarded the Blue Flag distinction. If we compare 24 with 97 ports of Catalonia throughout the state, with 24% of Catalonia ports winners took the lead in the other regions.
