Twelve porojects selected in the first Awards Publicity'09



Cambrils. Costa Dorada. Publicity'09, II Day Advertising and Promotion of Tourism to be held in Cambrils on the 27th of November, wanted students to approach the areas of advertising and tourism through the creation of Publicity'09 Awards, which reward create better tourism advertisement. This first edition, which has enjoyed the cooperation of the Rovira i Virgili University, has received twelve pieces promoting the following destinations: Canberra (Australia), Singapore, Lhasa (Tibet), Chihuahua (Mexico) Münster (Germany), Tijuana (Mexico), USA, Geneva and Vietnam. The jury includes professionals in the sectors that are targeted in the day and is staffed by Anna Lopez, City Councilor for Tourism of Cambrils; Octavi Bond, manager of the Tourism Council of the Provincial Council of Tarragona, M ª Eugenia Arbó, president Hotel Association Salou - Cambrils - La Pineda beach, Montserrat Grau, delegate of the Association of Advertising and Public Relations of Catalonia Pastor Estanislao representing the Business Association of Advertising in Tarragona, Jose Marin, Director of Marketing advertising agency Land and Sunsi Huertas, professor studies Predepartmental Advertising Communication Unit of the University Rovira i Virgili. Satisfaction of the jury Jurors have highlighted the high level of the pieces presented, most students from the Advertising and Public Relations, University Rovira i Virgili. According to the motto of this year, "Selection of attributes and positioning," has rated the participants have worked both concepts in the creative process of the posters. The Councilor of Tourism Cambrils, Ana Lopez, expressed the satisfaction of the Board members, organizing body of the day, to see the high turnout and the quality of the ads. He also stressed the importance of these awards, which are the first to reward the professional futures of Publicity and Tourism, since the inception of these studies themselves at the URV. The pieces will be exhibited as part of the day Publicity'09, on 27 November at the Hotel Tryp Port Cambrils and the reading of the verdict will be held at the closing ceremony, at 18 hours. The first prize will be two accreditations at the festival The Sun of San Sebastian and spent a weekend in the same city, the second prize will be two Nintendo Wii, thanks to the collaboration of Marketing Land Company, and third prize will be two annual subscriptions to magazines and Deviajes Entrepreneurs, the Hachette group. The day is aimed at all professionals in the advertising and tourism and has a registration fee of € 70 for professionals and 30 € for students.
