The Triathlon Salou expects 1000 athletes this Sunday

This Sunday, June 7, is held the first of three tests of the IV edition of the TRI-TRIALS SERIES ® in Salou, where the expected participation of 1000 athletes. The test is supported by the Sports Department of the Municipality of Salou and security in collaboration with the local police. The sprint distance will be approximately 750 m swim, 20km cycling and 5km race walk. The Triathlon Club Marina, with support from the municipalities of Salou, Barcelona and Vilanova i la Geltrú is the entity that organizes this trial, a circuit of 3 phases of sprint distance triathlon. Each of the 3 stages of the circuit will be controlled, coordinated and arbitrated by the Catalan Federation of Triathlon and under the rules of competition in the Spanish Triathlon Federation. Registration to take part in the test that counts in the Catalan circuit Triathlon, ends on Wednesday, June 3 at 0.00 pm The test day will be given out at 8:20 from the promenade Jaume I - Club Náutico. In this year have reduced the number of turns of the cycling leg of 3 to 2 for greater safety of the participants. The other two stages are in Barcelona (Vila Triathlon) will be on Sunday July 26 2009 and Vilanova i la Geltrú, scheduled for Sunday October 11, 2009.
