El Mercat del Mar is an activity organized by the Patronato Municipal de Turisme Torredembarra, with the collaboration of different groups in the municipality, with the aim of boosting tourism and business in the locality. This year is its second year and throughout the season five calls are made (May, June, July, August and September). This time it should be noted that on Sunday 19th of July, at 12.30 h, before the current Library (seafront promenade. Baix a Mar) will be a demonstration of gussis (“lagud” small fishing and recreation) pulled by horses. The complete program of activities scheduled for the weekend is as follows: Friday 17 10 h. 21 h: Paradas seafaring craft. Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 10 h. 21 h: Paradas seafaring craft. 11.30 h: Opening Passacaglia 12.30 h: Street theater 13.30 pm: Acting circus 17.30 h: Passacaglia 18.30 h: Street theater 19.30 pm: Acting circus 20.30 h: Closing Performance Saturday 18 12.00 h. Tapas tasting sea. Sunday 19 12.30 am: Demonstration of Gussis (lagud small fishing and recreation) drawn by horses, with the weight of old fishermen (current Library, on the promenade. Baix a Mar).
