Salou is organizing the first gastronomic fair 'Taste Salou'

Salou. Costa Dorada. The City of Salou organizes the next 18 to 20 March the first Fair Gourmet "Taste Salou" dedicated to gastronomy and wine. The Department of Citizen Participation organizes the fair with the intention of turning it into a landmark event in the municipality and the province of Tarragona.   The main objectives of this new show, which will be located at the Promenade Jaime I Salou are increasing the quality and diversity of the tourist town of Salou and position as a benchmark of culinary tourism. The main focus of the fair will be the local business-related cuisine, traditional products, designations of origin and quality and craft products. Among the activities that will be, will take place on the workshop organized by the tasting tea shop specializing in tea and chocolate, Amarachai. This activity aims to offer people who register the chance to enjoy a wide variety of teas, at the same time will learn the features. On Friday, the Fair will open its doors at 14 pm until 8.00pm. On Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm attendees can enjoy food and activities. In particular, there will be informative lectures, workshops and tasting product development related to the world of the kitchen, direct sales of products, shows and activities (by the associations and local authorities). The Department of Citizen Participation has already made a meeting with traders and businesses in the area explaining the project and involving them in the Fair. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, explained that "this government is working to bring forward initiatives to stimulate trade and economic activity of this council over proposals to develop the tourist season and attract visitors to our city" .
