Cambrils. Costa Dorada. 18th April 2012. On April 28 at 9:30 am will kick off the fourth raid adventure. The novelty this year is a 14 km mountain race scheduled for Sunday 29 April 2012. Both competitions are open to everyone and the raid has a familiar category Saturday April 28 at 9:30 am will kick off the Raid X-Adventure Raid Open Races Cambrils in 2012, part of the official calendar of Raids of Mountain Sports (FEEC). The event will be the second test circuit X-Race 2012 and is a new and wide range of categories so that all athletes run at their level. CATEGORIES Family As every year the race presents the Family category, designed for parents who can enjoy the adventure with their minor children. It will be a short distance of 2.5 km of urban orientation walk over 6km mountain bike, even very flat circuit and test strings and sea kayak (1km). Introduction The next category is the Introduction, designed for novice adults who enjoy the environment of Cambrils in a short circuit which combines a 25km mountain biking, orientation, race walking, kayaking and a circuit string. Adventure At one level there is the Adventure category, designed for teams who play different disciplines, but they lack experience in adventure raids. The longer route increases to 57km with 900m of uphill with disciplines of mountain bike, track ropes, kayaking and orienteering, and will also be a part of trekking. Elite And the queen will be the elite category, which can participate in 2 different ways: in teams of 2 riders (X-Race) or individually (SOLO). This category is reserved for riders with experience and good physical condition as must confront 67km and 1500m of ascent in just over 6 hours of courses with disciplines of mountain bike, track ropes, kayaking and orientation, and will also be a part of trekking. DISCIPLINES The race combines different disciplines of adventure, always considering the adaptation of each sector to the level of athletes. Apart from the more traditional disciplines such as hiking, trekking and orientation, adds Raid Cambrils disciplines such as sea kayaking and tubing strings, climbing, rappelling and Tibetan bridge. LOCATIONS The race used the sports facilities for its local tour concert. Thus, the start and finish will be at the Athletics Track. Much of the paths of initiation and Family categories, routes cyclists will use the kernel and the neighboring towns of Cambrils. Sea kayaking reserve it for the beaches. PARTICIPATION Although registrations are open until April 25, but this race, which is already established, is expected to close hundreds of teams coming from any place in neighboring regions such as Catalonia and Valencia, Aragon, Navarre and Andorra. CAMBRILS TRAIL SERIES On Sunday 29 at 10am will kick off this first edition of Cambrils Trail Series: Race is a 14km nature and with the minimum possible height (120m), so that it becomes an ideal race to stop run the road and traffic running between nature and leveraging the network of rural roads in Cambrils, as well as the unique architecture of the Mas Teixell and Samà Park. A race between cultures and ways of the sea and horizon, very simple and straightforward. There will be 3 categories: Junior, Senior and Veteran and the race is open to everyone, with special pricing for early registrants. All registrants will receive as a gift a bottle of oil from the Agricultural Cooperative of Cambrils can combine aspects of both sport and as healthful Mediterranean diet.
