Salou. Costa Dorada. The Department of Culture of the City of Salou in conjunction with the Social Work Foundation "laCaixa" have organized a photographic exhibition in the lobby of City Hall connection with the TAS under the name FotoPres'07. The exhibition features the work of Elisa Gonzalez, with work on Alzheimer's, Lorena Ros, a series of photographs of child abuse, and Pep Bonet, a report on the effects of civil war in Sierra Leone, which takes as a starting point a football tournament with players who have suffered some form of amputation. Besides the three photographers awarded the exhibition also displays photos of the winners with scholarships FotoPres. The exhibition which opened last December 1 in the presence of the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, and current members of the government team visited stay until 7 January. The photographic exhibition will be seen Monday through Friday from 9 to 21. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays closed. Exposure La Obra Social La Caixa hosts since 30 November an exhibition of the winning scores in FotoPres'07. Since its creation in 1982, the prize FotoPres is one of the signs of identity of the FundaciĆ³n "la Caixa". He was born with the desire to make visible the work of photojournalists, not valued or known. Since then it has echoed the changes that have occurred in the photo press, which has become increasingly, a means to sensitize the viewer to the conflict and to create an opinion. Over more than a quarter century, FotoPres has been a witness to the transformations of our environment and the growing interest in social issues. The exhibition brings together FotoPres'07 the work of three photographers honored at last year's competition: Elisa Gonzalez, for work on Alzheimer's, Lorena Ros, a series of photographs of child abuse, and Pep Bonet, a report on the effects of civil war in Sierra Leone, which takes as its starting point a football tournament with players who have suffered some form of amputation. Aid The scholarships target young FotoPres photographers so that they can publicize their work. Scholarships from last year's competition went to Fernando Maquieira, Jorquera, Paola de Grenet, Salvi Vivancos, Marta Soul and Antonio M. Xoubanova, for his reporting on Route 40 that runs along the Andes, contemporary China, albinos in the region of La Rioja Argentina, the lives of Ecuadorians in Spain, immigration and living patterns of the middle class and the transformation social and human caused by the burial of the M-30 as it passes through Madrid. The exhibition brings together a total of 129 photographs and will be open access in the lobby of City Hall Salou (walk on October 30, 4. Salou), 30 November 2009 to January 7, 2010.
