The flag of the ISO 14001 waves on the beach of Levante

Salou. Costa Dorada. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, accompanied by the Councillor for Beaches, Julia Gomez, the Councillor for Public Health, Ramon Pascual and Tourism, Benet Presas have flown on August 11, 2011 the Flag of the Environmental Certificate ISO 14001 in the Plaça de les Comunitats autònomes of Salou. Granados has expressed its satisfaction for the sixth consecutive year of obtaining the ISO 14001 for all the beaches, which is a recognition of the environmental management. Thus, this important certificate has been renovated over last year, with international recognition to the audited company AENOR, which certify that all the beaches, have established and maintained a rigorous environmental management system. The mayor wanted to specify that both the ISO and blue flags Q  value for these two were already flying on the beaches of Salou, "there are three certifications that recognize and value different aspects of the beaches and that, overall, they highlight the good work in cleaning water, quality of service and other requirements that make a beach in Salou exemplary. " In this sense, the Councillor for Beaches, Julia Gomez also added that "efforts to provide better management of our beaches for its citizens and visitors are guaranteed with this new certification positions us as a reference"; not he holds the title of Salou beach Europe. Meanwhile, the mayor announced that is being studied with the towns of Cambrils and Vila-seca formed a consortium to unite cleaning the beaches year after the ACA does not take care of cleaning the water with pelicans. "You could make a very good management in this and other aspects," said the mayor, but pointed out that the water is perfect and that there has been no complaint of swimmers.
