The operators of the Municipal Brigade have cleaned, flattened and brushed the land, where gravel has been placed. They have also adapted the entrance and widened the door. Likewise, solar lights have been installed, which save energy and are completely autonomous.

The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, explained that "given the need we have for parking during the summer, this land, very well located, 10 minutes from the beach and Paseo Jaume I, will be very useful and we it will help to reduce the congestion at the entrance to the municipality through Plaça d'Europa". The mayor recalled that "dissuasive car parks contribute to a more sustainable city with a better quality of life, with more space for people".

For his part, the Councilor for Territorial Management, Marc Montagut, has pointed out that "it is a good solution so that people can park their vehicles and move, on foot, towards the more central areas".

In addition, the councilor for Citizen Security and Mobility, David González, has stated that "giving continuity to one of the priority lines that we are starting, following the Urban and Sustainable Mobility Plan of Salou, and in anticipation of the volume of travel this summer in private vehicle, a free parking space has been enabled".
