Charity dinner for the autism at the Hotel Olympus Palace

Presentation of the charity dinner for autism in Salou

Salou. Costa Dorada. 22 September 2022. The Olympus Palace Hotel in Salou and Todo En Azul association of Tarragona organize a solidarity dinner on September 30, in collaboration with the Salou City Council and the Tarragona Provincial Council, to raise funds that will go to the project to create "El Casal Permanente del Autismo”.

This project aims to offer services and activities and respond to the needs of children and adults with autism and their families, through activities, workshops, talks, training, therapy, games, performing arts, sensory exercises, etc...

El Casal is conceived as a multipurpose space, with interior and exterior spaces, without architectural or sensory barriers, adapted to anyone who has some type of physical, visual or hearing disability. El Casal will be the first initiative of its kind in the province of Tarragona and in Catalonia.

This is not the first charity dinner held at the initiative of the Olympus Palace Hotel, since before the pandemic they had organized another to raise funds for cancer research. This dinner for autism will be held on the Summit terrace of the hotel, and has a contribution price of 45 euros, although there is also a zero row available for those who want to participate in the project, but cannot attend. The dinner will be enlivened with musical performances and there will be a raffle of products donated by various companies to give to the attendees.

The presentation of the solidarity dinner was attended by the Councilor for Health and Public Health of the Salou City Council, Beatriz Morer; Gil Cristià, owner partner of the Olympus Palace Hotel; Juan José Caravaca, president of the Todos En Azul association; and Joan Josep García, deputy delegate of Citizen Assistance Services (SAC) of the Provincial Council of Tarragona.

Precisely, the City Council of Salou has started a signage project for municipal buildings and spaces with pictograms to make Salou a more adapted city and a more welcoming environment for children and people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
