Nothing better than to
start the summer by celebrating the
solstice of this time of year on the beach, with a good bonfire of Sant Joan and a party that combines tradition and "revetlles". If you are looking for this complete pack, come to Salou and enjoy a magical weekend.
The
beaches of Salou, especially Llevant, are filled with groups of friends and family prepared with everything necessary to celebrate the
arrival of summer and the festival of Sant Joan on the beach.
As tradition dictates, on June 23rd, the Flama del Canigó (Canigó Flame) will arrive in Salou, which will later be used to light the Sant Joan bonfires. The "pubilles" and the "hereu" of Salou will receive the Flame, which will be used to light the bonfire on Llevant beach at around 10:30 PM. Afterwards, there will be a great popular "revetlla" (open-air street party).
If, after midnight, you choose to bathe in the sea as a ritual so that luck stays with you for the next 12 months, enjoy your night swim with caution.
