A total of 26 restaurants celebrate Cambrils´roots

Cambrils first Romesco gastronomic Days to be held

The initiative gets back the historic tourist slogan "Sun, marinade and romesco "

Anyone visiting Cambrils these days has a great opportunity to get to know the gastronomy of this seaside town . To do this you must go into the first gastronomic days of romesco , where , until 8 December, a total of 26 restaurants offer set menus of different prices based on romesco sauce or cold cooked dish . It is a rooted seafaring tradition of Cambrils, as evidenced by the historical tourist slogan "Sun, marinade and romesco ," now recovered with the days product.

The days of romesco add to other initiatives that have been launched in the past two years in order to strengthen seasonal tourism and Cambrils as gastronomic capital as well as promoting the uniqueness and excellence of its cuisine from a holistic point of view .

The accompanying romesco from a salad of shrimp and cod, grilled scallop cake or spring onions, to a esqueixada cod , clams sauteed with ham or beans, through the endive, creamy rice , monkfish , mussels or varied seafood and other delicacies.

The events celebrates Cambrils´returning to its roots. dating back to ancient times . The same term Romesco comes from the Mozarabic, meaning mix and stir different things. It is a concept that fits the culinary heritage of the town, which has a wide and diverse range of restaurants, each with its own style providing guests with romesco culinary applications .

The mayor of Cambrils , Mercè Dalmau, the Councillor for Economic Development , Carmen Cros, and representatives of the Association of Hospitality Cambrils presented the first edition of the gastronomic days of romesco of Cambrils. The mayor and the councilor stressed the commitment of the City " by working closely with the gastronomy " and establishing a gastronomic calendar during the less touristy months .

Participating restaurants are: Acuamar, Al Punt, Bec d'Or, Bresca, Cal Sisco, Can Bosch, Casa Gallau, Casa Macarrilla, Casa Port, Club Nàutic, Duomo, El Morter, El Pescador, El Pósito, Gami, Germans Miquel's, Hotel Rovira, L'Espurna, La Galera, La Palmera de la Llosa, Lekeitio, Les Barques, Miramar, Montserrat, Rincón de Diego and Xavier Macarrilla.
