An exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Ride of the Kings in Tarragona

The past December 3rd an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the festival and procession of the Christmas Kings from the East in the Refugio 1 of Tarragona at the Moll de Costa of Tarragona. This exhibition aims to discover the origin of the Three Kings, as also part of popular history and heritage of the city . The exposure times are : Tuesday to Saturday , 10 am to 1pm and from 4 to 7pm , and Sundays and holidays from 11 to 2pm . It will be closed on December 25 and December 31 will open from 10 to 13 hours .

The content of the exhibition is aimed at both the adult public as to kids and let us look closely at some of the carriages in the parade, dresses and various documents and anecdotes of this traditional festival . In addition , you can witness a visual story on the book that has been published on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Three Kings of Tarragona.

Acts as part of the exhibition

Precisely coinciding with the exhibition , on Friday December 13th there will be the presentationof the book, in the plenary hall of the City, " 100 anys i Cavalcada Festa de Reis Mags d' Orient de Tarragona " written by M. Joana Virgili and Francesc Virgili. The event will take place at 7 pm .

Moreover, in the context of dynamic visits there will be manual workshops for children up to 8 years old. The event, which lasts an hour and is free, premiered during the Purisima and will be held on 15, 22 and 29 December at 12 noon. Also, kids can deliver their letter to the Kings servant, Tuesday to Saturday from 6 to 7pm, and holidays from 12 to 1pm , an activity that is carried out in collaboration with the Maginet Club.

Even the Nose Man this year exceptionally visits the neighborhood of the Serrallo and the exhibition on the 100th anniversary of the Three Kings . It will be on December 31st at 12.50 .
