Great masters of painting, until December 10 at the Torre Vella
The Torre Vella de Salou hosts until December 10 what, without a doubt, is the most important pictorial exhibition of those that have so far passed through this site, which for years has become one of the most highlights of the capital of the Costa Dorada.
The exhibition includes some fifty paintings of different sizes and techniques by the great masters of Catalan painting, made at the end of the 19th century and the middle of the 20th.
The collection belongs to the Escolà family and can be visited free of charge during the usual opening hours of the Torre Vella, from Monday to Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., closed on Sundays and holidays.
The inauguration of this outstanding pictorial exhibition was held within the framework of the Fiesta Mayor on October 30 and has had a representation of the Escolà family and with the presence, among others, of the Councilor for Culture, Xavier Montalà and the Mayor of Salou , Pedro Granados.
Among the works that make up the exhibition are the paintings by Montserrat Gudiol, Isabel Guerra, Modest Cuixart, the drawings by Opisso or a photographic reproduction of a painting by Francisco de Goya.
