The pass of the Ase



 Between Mora d´Ebre and Ascó and in the Ebre basin, to ancient paths through the passage of the Donkey, a gorge where the Ebre route opens between mountains. This site gorge is also a point of separation between the northern towns of the county where the industry has flourished, and the southern, predominantly agricultural economy. Along the route, follow signs white and red of long distance walking route GR 99 or Way of the Ebre route that connects the mouth and the birth of the great river. You can return to Mora de Ebro taking the train or bus, with several return services daily. 0.00 km (28 m). The starting point is the route to the bus station in Mora de Ebro, located in S city. Leave the streets of the Old Way Benissanet N toward keeping the river on the right. It crosses under the bridge Mora de l´Ebre, turn right and cross the Plaza de San Roque. Continue along Calle del Raval de Jesus, leaving the town hall square to the left, turn right and take the Paseo del Ebro. You pass the yacht club pier and continue towards the path of Sovarrec N, which goes under a cliff during a good stretch and then close to the riverbank. Leave several turnoffs to the right (O). 5.64 km (37 m), 1 h 25 min. It crosses the railway line from Barcelona to Flix for an underpass. 6.00 km (31 m), 1 h 30 min. Crossing marked past the house of the Senia Henrietta. Cross GR 171-1 in the stretch between Garcia and Waldo. On the left there is the Cami de Perles, where to go this route, right (E), the track access Garcia passing boat, which we momentarily to see it (6 km, 40, 25 min). We return to this junction and continue walking right toward N. Among olive groves and vineyards, passing the railway halt Garcia. At 8 km long, crossing two streams. With Ascóo already in sight, leaving a detour to the left and come out on the road C-12B (15.60 km, 69 min), which continues to the right (NO) to the interior of the leaving town on the right (E) the hermitage of the Virgen del Carmen, which is below the road. 16.73 km (46 m), 4 h 15 min. At the height of the center of town, take the street to the left of and goes to the municipal sports Ascó. End of tour. Going right (E), is down to the train station Asco.
