Arnes Ports

Tour one of the most spectacular Els Ports Natural Park located on Arnes and Horta de Sant Joan. It runs along the banks of rivers, narrow valleys of Algars and imposing spectacle under the wheels of the Don, the Gronsa, Benet rocks, Dreta rocks and Penyagalera. Arnes is located at the foot of the road T-330, 27.5 miles from Waldo and passing Bot Horta de Sant Joan, and 28 km from the C-12, or axis of the Ebro, to El Prat de Comte. The route begins at Town Hall Square Arnes, where you can park your car. The vault and the City, passing in front of schools, take the trail that goes south-east, towards the ports, where are the spectacular rocks of Benedict. At 400 meters you reach a fork with a fountain, under the hermitage of San Salvador, and turn left until the next departure, at km 2.5. Take the right path towards the river of the estrets, which is crossed by a cement driveway. At 3.5 km follow a detour there on the right track until it ends. It remains a rocky path that descends sharply and passed over an aqueduct. Continue along the river through the estrets d´Arnes. At 5.8 miles you cross the river by a footbridge and get to a forest of cypress trees where, 6.3 miles, continue along a path not marked on the left across the river in the estrets. Then turn right (6.6 miles), and a few meters then again turn right along a tarmac track that comes in Horta de Sant Joan. You pass a monument dedicated to the rangers (8 km) and 9.5 km to reach the house of Franqueta, with camping and picnic area. It turns right and goes up to the farm track passing through the Mas de la  Pell negra. Cross the stream and at 14.4 miles you reach the coll de Miralles. After about 10 minutes on foot to the left, you can go see it and Lo Pimpollo and Lo Pi Ramut, which are large specimens of the species of pine pine. It crosses a stream and climb the col de Montfort, at km 15.8. Here leave the track and follow a path on the right, downhill, and which will be yellow signs. The descent is technical, but very beautiful. It passes by the farmhouse Llosera (17.4 km) and crosses the river by the Algars Mas Pau, where the margin will continue to back the right. We follow the track heading north. It crosses the river several times, and at 21.4 km, is the toll de Vidre, great place to bathe. At 23.3 km you cross the bridge and the track River Valleys. There is a turnoff to the right that leads to the imposing rock Right, well worth visiting. It tracks up to 24.5 km, which links to the runway tarmac that leads to Arnes (28.6 km). End of itinerary.
