Cambrils hosts the Optimist Championship of Catalonia

Cambrils. Costa Dorada. 18th May 2012. The City Council for Sports in Cambrils, Lluis Abella, and the manager of the Yacht Club Cambrils, Fabián Escudé, presented the Optimist Championship of Catalonia, to be held on 19, 20, 26 and 27 May . This children's sailing championship will feature the best 200 sailors representing a score of Catalonia Catalan clubs. The competition will have a total of 12 tests distributed throughout the championship. This race will be the last test scoring will determine the members of the Catalan Selection to participate in the next championship in Spain, an event organized by the Yacht Club also Cambrils from 19 to 25 June. These two events together will involve the participation of about 450 sailors and the influx of some 1,000 people in the city arena. The sailors of the CN Cambrils, Leander Garcia and Marcelo Cairo, are two of the participants with more options qudar in other positions in the ranking. In addition, training is an important face in the Spanish Championship sailing where children can play to qualify for the world to the discipline of the European Optimist. The organization of these events are made possible thanks to the help and collaboration of local organizations, businesses and club members that have allowed the budget to cover necessary to ensure the highest quality of these races.
