Salou hosts again the aerial acrobatics festival the Feast in Heaven
Presentation of the Festival in the 2026 Sky of Salou in Madrid
Salou. Costa Dorada. 10 June 2026. From 18 to 20 September 2026 Salou will host the second edition that hosts the capital of the Costa Dorada of the "Festa al Cel", the largest air show in Spain, which was already a great success of public last year. In the 2026 edition, the exhibitions will be extended after sunset.
If last year, the Feast in the Sky surprised with a simultaneous show of aircraft, drones and pyrotechnics, unique in Europe, this year we want to increase the complexity with the incorporation of lights, laser and special effects. In total, 5 night exhibitions are planned, spread over the 3 days of the Festival in Heaven.
Another novelty is that a narrative thread is incorporated that structures the show. Through audiovisual projections and ground performances, the exhibitions will be contextualized to bring the public closer to the technical and human preparation that there are destroys of each flight.
Planes that participate in the Party in the Sky 2026
The Festa al Cel includes both civil and military aircraft, both modern and historical. As an example, the action of the Eurofighter fighters of the Air Force and two HA-220 Super Saeta units is planned, which was the first military reactor built in Spain. This commemorates the 75th anniversary of this model.
It is also confirmed the performance of the Aspa helicopter patrol, with the “Colibrin”, and other military aircraft such as the A-400M, the waterplane ‘Canadair’, the “Tigre” and “Chinook” helicopter and the Air Force Acrobatic Parachute Patrol (PAPEA).
In terms of commercial aviation, the Fantoba Acrobatic Pilot, the Aerospax team (specialized in combining acrobracias with drones and pyroctechnia), a OV-10B Bast and other ships such as a Level A330 and a Vueling A320.
In addition, the participation of international teams in the Feast in Heaven is expected, such as the Baltic Bees Jet Team of Latvia, the Flying Dragon Paramotor Team of Poland and the Scandinavian Airshows of Sweden, which incorporate pyrotechnics and laser.
Like last year, PortAventura sponsors the Festa al Cel, which will also offer exhibitions and stands for aviation schools, as well as other activities that complement aerial acrobatics.
From where you can see the Festa al Cel better
Aerial acrobatics are performed on the sea, so the beach is the best place to enjoy the show, especially the beaches of Levante and Poniente. They are the most extensive in Salou and as they are urban they are easily accessible and with all services.
How to get there and where to park
In front of shows as attractive as the Feast in Heaven, which attracts thousands of people, you must try to schedule the trips in time.
By public transport:
Salou is very well connected with intercity buses with the main neighboring towns, such as Reus, Tarragona, Cambrils or the nucleus of La Pineda, and is often the best option to reach the capital of the Costa Dorada. Another possibility is the train, especially if you arrive from Barcelona. At the Salou-Portaventura station comes the R17, regional from the Catalan capital, and the RT2 which is the line of surroundings of the Camp de Tarragona from Arborç to Salou passing through El Vendrell, Torredembarra, Altafulla and Tarragona. From the station to the beach there is about 25 minutes walking if you want to take a taxi. Of the buses that pass through the Salou-PortAventura train station and go to Salou, line L1842 is the one that directly connects the current station with the old station in disuse on Carles Roig street. On the other hand, the L0411 (BM Cambrils-PortAventura), has many frequencies and until night.
By private vehicle:
If you decide for the private vehicle, the problem will be parking, and even more free parking. To park, use the deterrent car parks that Salouhas especially in the area of Empresses and the municipal football stadium (about 25 minutes walk to the beach), in the area of the Salou-PortAventura station (a similar time) or the area of the Camí del Cavet in Salou (about 30 minutes).
You must also take into account the queues that can be generated at the exit of Salou when the aerial shows end. Take patience and delay the exit, so that it can be more staggered.
Recommendations for an unforgettable Festa al Cel:
To enjoy the best Festa al Cel remember:
Follow the instructions of the organization and the authorities, to facilitate mobility and safety
Schedule scrolls in time
Carry plugs through the ears or protective headphones to protect you from the noise of the planes
Stay safe from the sun and heat: wear sunglasses, sun cream, cap, shade and hydration if you spend the day on the beach
Bring binoculars or cameras to see more details (such as specialists who walk through the wings of planes)
Respect the beach and the environment and maintain the civic spirit
In the presentation of the Festival in Heaven in Madrid, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has claimed the ability of Salou to host a large format event like this thanks to its tourist infrastructure, quality, consolidated and operational all year round. The mayor has also highlighted the geographical and location characteristics of Salou, which make it a particularly interesting place to host this type of aeronautical festivals.
The organization aspires to go from 300,000 attendees in 2025 to 400,000 in this 2026, a figure that the president of the Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell, Pere Joan Nogueroles, sees feasible due to the ambition with which the festival is projected. An ambition to also believe in quality, as underlined by the director of the Festival in Heaven, Daniel Ventura, and has corroborated Colonel Félix Manjón.
