L'Ajuntament de Salou fa temps que treballa perquè el turisme pugui oferir més feina i de més qualitat al municipi. Aquesta primavera la bellesa se cita a Salou. Les 52 candidates que aspiren a ser Miss RNB Espanya es disputaran el títol al Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS), el 12 d'abril a les 20 h, quan se celebrarà la gran final. Cada candidata representa una província espanyola o ciutat autònoma de lEstat.

Un total de 13 xefs de 7 restaurants de Salou han rebut el reconeixement de l'Ajuntament de Salou per la seva contribució a la reeixida presentació de "Salou, essència de la felicitat" a Madrid, en el marc de Fitur. Conjuntament van elaborar un còctel de benvinguda i un menú degustació que ha ajudat a fer que la nova campanya promocional de Salou tingui una gran repercussió.

L'emoció ha estat sens dubte la gran protagonista del pregó de la Festa Major d'Hivern de Salou. El públic que omplia el Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS) ha viscut intensament tot l'acte, des del relleu de les pubilles i l'hereu al parlament divertit de l'humorista Carlos Latre. Sonors aplaudiments, xiulets i cridoria del principi a la fi de l'acte, premonitoris de les darreres paraules de Latre quan ha dit que “Salou és la capital de moltes de les nostres emocions”.

Aquest 26 de gener del 2025, Salou ha començat a exercir oficialment com a Capital de la Cultura Catalana 2025, després de rebre el relleu de Sabadell, que ha ostentat el títol durant el 2024. A partir d'aquest moment, Salou és el referent cultural de Catalunya i té per davant 12 mesos per reforçar el seu paper cultural en diversos àmbits com el patrimonial, l'històric, el de cultura popular i tradicional i en les diferents expressions artístiques.

Salou has joined the crochet trend this Christmas and has released a Christmas tree made of 300 colorful squares covering a 3.20 meter high iron structure. The initiative has been made possible thanks to the association Grup de Dones de Salou, which has had the collaboration of the City Council and several merchants in the area.

The chosen location is the central roundabout at the intersection of Barcelona Street and Via Roma, where a splendid 12-metre-high tree is installed, all made of LED lights, and crowned by a large star.

With the inauguration of the Rambla de Barenys, Salou has gained a new space of almost 3,500 square metres so that residents and visitors can stroll and enjoy the capital of the Costa Daurada. Salou, Capital of Catalan Culture 2025

The year 2025 will be an important year for Salou, full of cultural activities of all kinds, after having been designated as Capital of Catalan Culture 2025 for being "an innovative and modern municipality with a thousand-year history and a vibrant culture, closely linked to Catalonia and its historical development", according to the president of the Capital of Catalan Culture organisation, Xavier Tudela.

Salou has been awarded the certificate of family tourism destination “HOLA Família!” by the Catalan Tourism Agency, which recognises the excellence of the municipality's tourist offer, especially aimed at families. Salou is committed to art and culture and that is why every summer it opens an open-air exhibition on Paseo Jaume I. This 2024 the proposal is a unique exhibition of 10 sculptures that reproduce leatherback turtles that, in turn, have been decorated by many other painters and illustrators.
