Summer Agenda: what to do today in Salou

Salou. Costa Dorada. 30 June 2022. If you come to Salou on holiday you should know that the City Council has prepared an extensive Summer Agenda of activities and proposals for all ages and for all tastes, all of them free, cultural, sports, musical, leisure, or commercial, for the months of July, August and early September. Here you have all the information of the proposals, the days, hours and places of celebration. We will wait for you!

The activities of the Salou Summer Agenda are:

Summer Xic's: activities for children of the Salou Xic's children's club (refreshing inflatables, workshops, water activities, in different areas of Salou on Wednesdays June 29; July 6, 13, 20 and 27, and August 17 and 24) from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Havana cycle: on July 16 and 30, and August 9 and 20 in different areas of Salou at 10 p.m.

Sardanas cycle: July 2 and 30, and August 13 at 8 p.m. on Passeig Jaume I, and September 11 at 11 a.m. in Carrilet square

V Costa Daurada-Salou International Music Festival: offers symphonic concerts and chamber music with renowned national and international performers in different spaces of the municipality (the Torre Vella, the gardens of the Tourist Board and the Plaza de las Comunitats Autònomes)

Calada de las Malles de Sant Pere: revive this ancient art of fishing that was practiced in Salou

Open-air cinema in July and August in different parts of the municipality

Activities at the municipal library: Thursdays in July and August at 6:30 p.m., comic book sessions for children up to 12 years old; from Monday to Thursday, manga illustration workshop at 5:30 p.m. from 12 years old; conference and exhibition on manga. Free activities, but prior registration is required at [email protected] .

Nits Daurades, Salou's main festival, great musical performances and many activities for all ages.

Live Art in Salou: from July 9 to September 17, on Paseo Jaume I, open-air collective exhibition of sculptures by Cosme Paredes, Carlos Cuenllas, Natalia Ferrer and Marta Pruna. Also, at Torre Vella, from July 1 to August 21, “Tom Carr: Buïgas, Aqua et Lex”, and from September 2 to October 15, “Salou 1229. Protagonists cap the conquest of Mayürca. The exhibitions in the Torre Vella can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sundays and holidays, it is closed.

Sports activities: from July 1 to August 31, at Llevant Beach (family space area on the beach), there will be classes for everyone at 10 am.

In the presentation of the program, the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados , has valued "the good coordination between the different departments of the City Council, and with the entities of the municipality, in order to draw up a most complete program, so that everyone can enjoy Salou, during the summer months”. It has also valued the different municipal facilities where the almost 70 activities included in the summer guide will be held.

For his part, the Councilor for Cultural Services, Xavier Montalà , pointed out that "this year, we have prepared a summer program that matches the desire that we all have to live". While the Councilor for Children and Youth, Julia Gómez , explained that "we have organized a range of free leisure activities so that our children and young people can enjoy a different and fun summer ". Finally, the Councilor for the Promotion of Sports, Daniel López , has stated that “we want to continue holding sports events in different disciplines during the summer; and, for this reason, we have decided to make those that have always been very well received by the public”.
