Paseo Jaume I of Salou is hosting the Saint George's day 2017

Salou. Costa Dorada. 18 April 2017. The City Council of Salou has presented the cultural activities to commemorate Saint Geoge’s day, which this year incorporates as a novelty the change of its traditional location for Paseo Jaume I, at the height of the Yacht Club.

With this change of location, Salou wants to open to the public this place so emblematic. In addition, this year Saint Geoge’s, falls on Sunday, April 23, and is going to gather more people than usual .

As every year, the protagonists, readers and lovers, can enjoy the typical stops and stalls selling books and roses within the traditional acts of this festival.

The different activities for this cultural week will begin this Wednesday, April 19, in the Municipal Library of Salou, where there will be a meeting of the Reading Club of Salou to talk about the novel "El Pont dels jueus" of Martí Gironell at 6 pm.

In the same municipal library, this Saturday, April 22, prior to the Saint George’s day, will be held the Festival of stories and reading at 11am.

ACTS OF SANT JORDI 2017, Sunday 23 of April

• Paseo Jaume I, stand of the Club Xic's of Salou, at 9 am, the children will be able to paint, draw and make crafts of Saint George with the company of Rocky and the Confetina.
• Cercavila de los Diables Maleïts, Bruixes "Latemó" and the Morena of Salou from the Font Lluminosa, at 11am, to Fonts Cibernètiques.
• Paseo Jaume I, at 12 am, ball de bastons and mulassa of Salou.
• Paseo Jaume I, at 12:30 am, Tasting of vermouth by Vermouth de Muller.
• At 5 pm, Family musical show "Animació amb Set i So".
• At 6 pm, Performance of the Ball d'Espases and els Nanos de Salou.
• At 6:30 pm, representation of the legend of Saint George for the little ones, "L'increïble història de Sant Jordi" of the Associació Salou Teatre Grup Okupa.

After the events of Saint George, the cultural activities continue during the following week with a Spring Concert of the smallest of the EMMS and others choirs, which will take place on April 26, at 6 pm, at the Teatre Auditori in Salou (TAS Salou).

On this Wednesday, two more events are scheduled. The first, at 6:30 pm, in the Municipal Library, literary show in homage to the writer Maria Aurèlia Capmany. The second, an hour later, at 7:30 pm, in the Sala Xavier Turull, concert of the great groupings of EMMS by the Band, the String Orchestra, the Guitar Orchestra and the Choir Duorum.

To close the cultural and literary program, Saturday, April 29, at 12 am, last act in the Municipal Library of Salou "Puppet theater and puzzle games” for the little ones.
