The Nàutic Salou turns 50 and celebrates with three ambitious projects

Salou. Costa Dorada. 22 June 2015. The Yacht Club Salou, which since last March has new board chaired Jaume Vicheto, begin next August 14 the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the organization.



The salouense nautical took its first steps in 1964 by the prestigious lawyer and dean of the state bar Pedrol Antonio Rius, along with Joaquim Oliva Reus also Valls. The first 300 founding members of the organization contributed 50,000 pesetas each and day August 29, 1965 they held their first General Assembly. Four years later, on July 8, 1969, was inaugurated the new Marina Yacht Salou and from there begins a long history which has led, among others, the organization of major sporting events and conversion entity in one of the most active in Salou, currently with 675 members.



The commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Club Náutico Salou will last for the next four years, during which the entity will face several major challenges.



First, by 2017, will co-host Salou sailing Tarragona 2017 Mediterranean Games, which will involve the installation of a permanent base for practicing water sports in the Poniente beach, next to the Yacht Club, a project that they are involved the City of Salou, the Yacht and other administrations of Tarragona.



Later, in 2018, ending the granting of the facilities of the Nautical, a concession that have to renegotiate with the city, although, according Vicheto, the first talks about making it likely that there is a willingness for a new period 50-year concession.



Finally, the future urban redevelopment Marina Salou, which could be a reality in 2018, provides a public passage between the beaches of Poniente and Levante, just ahead of the Yacht Club pool.



This remodeling would allow for greater integration of the Yacht in the municipality, together with the extension of the walkway leading from the harbor entrance to the green light, and in this sense, the yacht shows full predisposition to this increased permeability between the municipality and the entity.



The commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Yacht were presented by Jaume Vicheto and Pascual Roche, vice president of the entity. In addition to the first act of August 14, during the 50 years the club has prepared numerous activities, both nautical and sporty as the social and cultural aspect.
