The Local Police advises the establishments on issues of security and falsification

Salou. Costa Dorada. 11 May 2018. The Department of Commerce and Local Police of Salou have launched a campaign to advise Salou establishments on security issues. Some of the measures that are recommended to businesses are based on the detection of fake bills, so that portable detectors are distributed to locate them. Police officers will explain their operation, as well as some recommendations to prevent the performance of criminals and forgers.

The Councilor for Trade, Martina Fourrier, together with the Councilor for Security and Mobility, David González, the head of the Local Police, and the heads of the Citizen Relations Group of the police, have made an exit for one of the most commercial areas of the municipality - Barcelona Street - to explain first hand to the merchants and owners of the area this new initiative and its operation.

The objective "is to strengthen the relationships between merchants and security agents, while we provide shops with new tools for the detection of counterfeit notes" and added that "this will improve the levels of coexistence and citizenship as well as reinforce prevention" .

For its part, the Councilor for Security and Mobility, David Gonzalez, explained that "from the security body seeks to promote a cross-cutting work to improve relations between police and society, as well as achieve citizen involvement in the resolution of potential conflicts " Gonzalez, added that "our municipality has a very specialized police that reaches all sectors of the population, in this case the action is with the merchants, this means that Salou as a whole can say that it has a security that works satisfactorily".

The Local Police chief wanted to add that "from the Local Police we will always support them so that they can improve security in an integral way in aspects such as detecting counterfeit bills and other basic rules that will facilitate action with prevention against possible crimes." The police chief also recalled that "a specific telephone has been created for traders to make their inquiries."
