Fourteen restaurants will participate this year in the Days of Squid

The price of the menus will range between 16 and 88 euros.

The traditional gastronomic days dedicated to squid will begin next Friday, November 23, and will last until December 9. Fourteen restaurants will participate in this fifth edition, which will prepare squid menus and will participate in this initiative in order to offer a quality product and service. The prices of the menus range between 16 and 88 euros depending on the establishment. Those participating this year are: Bandarra 2.0, O Mar, La Morera, La Cova del Bou, Bar Cafeteria La Rambla, Deliranto, Cook and Travel, Caffe di Mare, Sapore di Mare, 4R GastroBar, Restaurant Moss, Terrassa Club Nàutic, Le Sommelier and El Totxo Taverna.
The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, "is a good opportunity to make known the local restaurants of Salou that open all year and offer a good gastronomic offer, this time with the theme of squid," he said. For the councilor Martina Fourrier, "we want to continue promoting good local gastronomy and also tie it with such a traditional product, we thank the establishments that in the low season make a firm commitment and come together to generate a varied offer".
Those interested in discovering the different menus and prices can consult a book that has been edited and can be downloaded from the City Council's website, as well as found on Facebook and Twitter of the Salou Food Experience.
 
A contest, in progress
A contest has also been created to collect squid recipes from those interested to win a 60 euro check to consume at any of the participating restaurants. Those interested can send a recipe for squid cuisine where this mollusk is the main element. The ingredients must be specified for four people and the steps that must be followed to cook the dish. The contest is only valid for residents of Salou. The recipe does not need to be its own, but it is necessary for the user to be able to cook it. It is not necessary to include a photograph accompanying the recipe and it must be sent by email to [email protected] or by private message on Facebook Messenger www.facebook.com/SalouFoodExperience until December 15. Once the campaign is over, a video will be recorded to the winning person cooking the selected recipe that will be broadcasted on the social networks of Salou Food Experience and a video will be recorded to be broadcast on the program Vamos! of TAC12 in the kitchen section.
In parallel, and also with the background theme of the squid on November 26 will begin the party in which those interested will go fishing every afternoon from Monday to Friday and Saturday will be awarded as part of a dinner.
