Carnaval Xic's, the solidarity party against childhood cancer, is celebrated next Sunday

Salou. Costa Dorada. 09 February 2018. The fourth edition of Carnival Xic's, the great celebration of solidarity with childhood cancer in Salou, will be held next Sunday, February 11th, at the Salou Center Pavilion from 5 to 8 pm. It is a great celebration that is expected to bring together six hundred people to enjoy a good time and celebrate the solidarity carnival that the Council of Children through Club Xic's and together with the Association Oncologic Dr. Amadeu Pelegrí of the municipality, have assembled for the fourth consecutive year. One hundred boys and girls are expected to participate in the costume contest on an afternoon full of fun and good atmosphere.

As in any carnival party, the costume competition could not be missed, where one more year, prizes for the best costumes have been valued at € 100, € 75 and € 50, respectively, and the winners will have to spend them on establishments of Salou. During the festival, and beyond the costume contest, children attending the pavilion will also be able to enjoy children's entertainment, kids zumba, and workshops as well as inflatables.

The two solidarity euros that cost each of the tickets at the festival will be used to integrate research into childhood cancer through a donation to the maternal and child hospital of Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona. The Councilor for Children, Julia Gómez, and the president of the Murielle Reig Oncology Association, expect that the carnival celebration of Salou will be a success of participation as in previous years.
