The City Council has beaches suitable with bathing chair

Salou. Costa Dorada. The City Council is to serve the citizens Salou chairs adapted for the bathroom for disabled people who want to enjoy the beaches. The chairs are located in Playa de Levante and Poniente beach although the service is performed on any beach or bay, within the municipality of Salou at the request of the Department of Health and Environment.
 

Only during the month of July, have been 29 assisted.

It is a chair that amphibians may be used in the water. The most important characteristic of this chair are wider wheels and floats. These allow a proper flotation in the water and wider wheels are needed to chair it sinks into the sand. To use this chair is necessary to use a life jacket and a support person accompany making.
 

The chair can be used from May 15 to October 15, from 10 to 7.30pm. The Councillor for Environment, Montserrat Porter said "this is a service for our beaches that offer greater convenience to visitors and of course those who are disabled because they too can enjoy this environment" .
 

Currently, the City of Salou is also acting in the streets, parks and other public spaces in the town in order to adapt the use of these facilities for people with reduced mobility.
