Terres de l´Ebre, present at the British Birdwatching Fair

Terres de l'Ebre. The Tourism Board of Tarragona has promoted the brand Terres de l'Ebre a privileged destination for tourism ornithological the 23rd edition of the British Birdwatching Fair.

The British market is currently the leading issuer in Europe, birding tourists. The Board has used the event to contact a dozen tour operators and other tourist destinations in the United Kingdom.

In order to promote the Lands of the Ebro River as a destination for bird tourism, the Tourism Board of Tarragona was made during the 23rd edition of the British Birdwatching Fair, a presentation on birds of the Delta Ebro which was led by a knowledgeable ornithologist and expert on the subject. He did so with the help of Delta Natural Park and the Catalan Agency for Tourism.

The talk, which had an attendance of over 75 people, was one of the most successful activities this year show, and managed to attract the interest of the participants that, once the activity is approached stand to get more information on the country.

The lands of the Ebro were consolidated in this exhibition as one of the most popular destinations in the sector, and have captivated tourists and tour operators attending. Remember that the British market is the main transmitter of the European ornithological tourism. In addition, the profile of tourists Birdwatcher (birdwatchers) fits the natural tourist offer of the Terres de l'Ebre. The bird watching is one of the largest tourist attractions in the Terres de l'Ebre. Delta Natural Park, for example, can be observed more than 60% of European species in their migration processes. The areas of the Ebro Delta, the Ports de Tortosa-Besseit, and Sebes Nature Reserve, among others, offer the chance to observe over 350 species of birds of very different natural environments in a relatively close. Furthermore, the Lands of the Ebro you can see unique species as the only colony of white storks in the region, the result of a reintroduction project, or copies of the world's largest colony  gull.
