All finished in Valls on Sunday to celebrate 'The Great Feast of the Calçotada''

Valls. Costa Daurada. On Sunday 29 January will take place in one of the Valleys most popular festivals in the country and genuine, "The Great Feast of the Calçotada", which this year celebrates its 31st edition. As was usual, the last Sunday of January, gala dress and valleys throughout the day will hold all sorts of activities related to one of the most traditional and popular food of Catalonia, calçotada.

The squares and streets of the Valleys will be the stage, from half past eleven in the morning, a variety of events: the calçotada markets, crafts people, the great parade of calçotada, grallers, bands, giants, dwarves, entertainment groups, cars and all kinds of items related calçotada. In addition, the square of the oil, onions will be demonstrations of copper, the square of Wheat Growers Contest of the 25th and 21st Calçots Sauce Contest Calçotada of the Valleys, with demonstrations of how prepared the traditional romesco sauce. After the one o'clock, the streets of Oil and Zeta will be expected to calçotada tasting of anyone who wishes, there will be grills ready for people who want to cook meat on the grill .

At the same time and the square yard, will be the 27th Calçots Eating Contest, with the aim of determining the maximum amount of tasting onions in a given time by one person. Parallel and throughout Sunday, open spaces and all sorts of exhibitions for the enjoyment of visitors.
